Imag(in)ing Ourselves

An ongoing artistic research project that investigates the interplay of images and embodied role-playing as a medium for reflecting on memory, identity and power structures. It is a continuation of my work with archive footage and photographs. Its current, ludic direction stems from my story-game project, Afterimage.

At its initial stage, during my residency at Centro NAVE in Santiago, Chile, I invited participants to interact with archive black-and-white images through movement, creating new narratives and eventually new images in the form of collages, while reflecting on the memories they evoke. Further steps will focus on how these narratives and images can create the foundation for role-playing activities.
